The Gulf. Yes it's always great. People come here and never leave. People suggest that I should stay. Maybe someday I will. As much as I stay anywhere that is. Today is a great day for island hopping, and this is just what it looks like on one of the little, open BC Ferries, running island to island out here.
No whales today. But I am watching. Life on the water!
I'm in early, so I drop by one of the local libraries to use the internet and Blog a little. The emails have been taking up a huge amount of time— just surface noise around the Tour and it's details.
I've been trying to get the Tour banner back for several weeks now. Despite the best intentions of all parties involved, it has not yet arrived anywhere before me. And when it does arrive the post office or the courier don't actually deliver it— they drop a card and take the package to a depot somewhere. More emails, more favours to beg. Please ship it for me. Please pick it up for me. Sorry. Sorry. Don't worry, I'll pay. Sorry.
Here's my pal Jim MacGreggor's house in Cedar, BC, just outside of Nanaimo. This is one of the houses built way back by the cult leader, Brother XII. Wow. That gives me a chill. There is some strange history out here, hidden by the trees. Brother XII, an interesting bit of coastal history...
Jim is a great host, and we spend the evening catching up on old times. Thanks for the hospitality, Jim!!
